A health check on the wiring
From £150 for a one bedroom property, then £50 per extra bedroom. So a three bed is £250. No surprises, and we confirm before we book.
An EICR is an inspection of the fixed wiring in a property. The consumer unit, the circuits, the sockets and the earthing. It tells you what is safe, what needs attention, and what is dangerous.
Everything is coded. C1 is dangerous now. C2 is potentially dangerous. C3 is worth improving. Anything C1 or C2 makes the report unsatisfactory and has to be put right.
We go through the report with you rather than emailing you a PDF full of codes.
Three reasons people book one. Landlords, because it is legally required every five years for a rented property in England. Buying or selling, where a survey has flagged the wiring. And older houses, because if the consumer unit still has rewireable fuses it is worth knowing.

Someone does, and we need access to the consumer unit and the loft if there is one.
