The signs your system needs it
Radiators cold at the bottom but warm at the top. Some that never get warm at all. A boiler that bangs or gurgles when it fires. Water that comes out black when you bleed a radiator. Heating that takes forever to come up.
That is rust and sludge settling in the bottom of your radiators and the pipework. It makes the boiler work harder, costs you money every month, and eventually kills it.
How a flush works. We connect a pump to the system and circulate a cleaning solution through it. Each radiator is worked individually, because that is where the sludge sits. The system is flushed until the water runs clear, then we add an inhibitor so it does not come straight back. You see the before and after, including what came out.
Sometimes a flush is not the answer
If your system is genuinely sludged, a flush transforms it. If the real problem is a sticking valve, a pump on its last legs or a badly balanced system, a flush is money you did not need to spend.
We find out which it is first. That is a conversation, not a job.
Common questions
The things people ask before they book
Usually. Fitting a new boiler onto a dirty system is the fastest way to ruin it, and most manufacturers require the system to be cleaned for the warranty to stand.
Every five to ten years for most houses, less if the inhibitor is kept topped up.
Most of a day for a normal house. Bigger systems take longer.
