Best in an extension, a new floor or a wet room
Underfloor heating goes in easiest when the floor is already coming up. An extension, a new kitchen, a bathroom refit or a barn conversion. Retrofitting under an existing floor is possible but it is a bigger job, and we are straight with you about that.
It suits stone and tiled floors particularly well, which round here is most of them.
Why it goes with a heat pump. Underfloor runs at a much lower water temperature than radiators. So does a heat pump. Put the two together and each makes the other work better. If a heat pump is anywhere in your plans, underfloor in the rooms you are already opening up is a sensible move now rather than later.
What we do: full wet underfloor systems, single rooms and wet rooms, manifolds and zone controls, connecting underfloor to an existing boiler or heat pump, and fault finding on systems somebody else fitted.
